Obama Logorama

?The Obama logo is fraught with symbolism.  The "O" is obviously a sunrise, or, for those inclined to see him as the messiah, the "son-rise."  Also, for Shakespeare fans (remember, the One reads Shakespeare for entertainment;  the tragedies, in fact), it calls to mind the sarcastic opening of Richard III: "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son of York."  I think the irony in Richard III may be lost on him, like the irony of preaching hope and change, yet being part of the movement that strangled reform of Chicago politics in the crib.

Also note the shade of blue;  it's not the dark blue of the flag, even though the color scheme of the logo is red, white, and blue.  It's kind of a nuanced blue, of the flag, but not of the flag, just as He is of the United States, but at the same time not.  Or like being at Trinity United and not hearing the sermons.  Or being President of Law Review and never writing an article.  Or being in the Illinois Legislature and voting "present" 148 times.  Or being in the Senate, and spending the whole time running for President.  It's also a comment on the United States not being what it once could be- the glory has faded, we just need to realize it and let O take us to the post-superpower future.  Compare the blue to McCain's:

Now that's a blue we can believe in!  Navy blue, with the gold, reminding us of his service and sacrifice, and a raised star referring to accomplishment and the flag.  For those who question his conservative bona fides, note that there's no Republican red.  But back to Barry...

The Obama logo is also attempting to show a road to the future, the future being O.  But really, how do you get to the future?  As the logo shows, by walking on the flag.  As Michelle might say, "I was never really proud of my country, until it became the doormat to Barack's ambitions."  And "Win the Presidency or you're on the couch- for life!"
